When does registration open and close? From 10am
Where does the walk start and finish? The 4km walk starts and finishes at Strathmore Rugby Club. The route is a straightforward and flat circuit of Forfar Loch, often busy with cyclists, runners, dog walkers, and offering the chance to look for birdlife or watch canoeists or sailors on the water.
Where is parking and/or public transport links? Car Parks available at the Rugby Club
Where is first aid located? First Aid will be beside the Rugby Club
Where are toilets and refreshments? Toilets will be available at Strathmore Rugby Club, bring your own refreshments as plenty of picnic tables!
What family friendly activities will be there on the day. A hug from Buddy/ Memory Walls, quizzes. Any other vital information/risks e.g. hazards on the route, buggy/wheelchair friendly, entertainment, etc? Ice Cream van and Teas and Coffees are available. Sturdy shoes are recommended as the path is rough and stony in sections. There will be an opportunity of a smaller walk between the Turfbeg car park and the Lochside Leisure Centre.
