The registration fee only covers the cost of putting on the event- it’s the money you raise that allows us to provide our vital services and make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We are encouraging everyone taking part in Memory Walk to try to raise £50.  This would pay for a carer to attend a day's course on dementia care with our highly trained staff. 

There is a non-refundable registration fee of £10 for adult walkers and £5 for 12-16 year olds, under 12’s can attend for free.  You will receive a fundraising pack and support from the Memory Walk Team. Memory Walk t-shirts can be purchased for £8 on our online shop

Of course - the more the merrier! If they plan to take part in Memory Walk they will need to register online or on the day. 

Most of our Memory Walks are dog-friendly- you can check for the paw print icon on each event page. We would ask that you be a responsible dog owner when bringing your dog to Memory Walk and make sure you bring water to keep them hydrated.

We always aim to be as inclusive as possible for our Memory Walk, however, there may be areas of uneven or muddy terrain. Most of our Memory Walk events offer a shorter route more suitable for those with wheelchairs or buggies. If you are unsure on whether you would be able to participate the walk please contact your Walk Manager for further information. 

Yes we are always looking for new volunteers to support our Memory Walk. Roles include registering walkers, marshalling the walk route and helping to run our entertainments and activities.  If you would like to get involved please contact the Memory Walk manager for your preferred walk. Click here to learn more about volunteering at Memory Walk.

Please post any cheques or CAF's, made payable to Alzheimer Scotland, to the address stated on your sponsorship forms. Please include a covering note telling us your name, address, phone number, email address (so we can save costs when acknowledging your donation) and detailing which Memory Walk you took part in. If you have any completed sponsorship forms please return these with your donations so we can claim the Gift Aid.

We would encourage you to register online before the day so you can receive your Memory Walk information pack before the big day but if you have missed the deadline you can register at the event with cash.

You can purchase our Memory Walk t-shirts in sizes small to XXL on our online shop by clicking here. Children’s Alzheimer Scotland t-shirts are also available to order. Please order your t-shirts within two weeks of your event to guarantee delivery before your Memory Walk. There may be a limited number of t-shirts available to buy on the day of the event.

Each Memory Walk differs so check out our events pages for your specific walk length. We aim to be as inclusive as possible for Memory Walk so there is often a shorter route available for those who may not want to take on the full walk.

The start times differ for each Memory Walk, check out the events pages for each walk for your start time. If there is a specific registration time for your walk please do not arrive before this time.

Of course! Bring as many treats as you like and it would be a good idea to bring water to keep you hydrated on the walk. We would ask you not to bring or consume any alcohol at the Memory Walk.
